1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using NetSentry, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the software.

2. License Grant

NetSentry is free software. SoftRealms grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Install NetSentry on any number of personal computers
• Use the software for any lawful purpose
• Make backup copies for archival purposes

3. Restrictions

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Redistribute the software without express permission
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the software for illegal activity
• Use the software to disrupt others' networks
• Misrepresent the software as your own product

4. Description of Software

NetSentry is a network monitoring and traffic control application for Windows. It monitors bandwidth usage, blocks application network access, detects active connections, and operates entirely offline.

5. Administrator Privileges

NetSentry requires administrator privileges to function. The software:

• Modifies Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) rules
• Modifies Windows Firewall rules
• Uses Event Tracing for Windows (ETW)
• Creates Task Scheduler entries

You are responsible for understanding the implications of granting these privileges.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

NetSentry is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement

There is no guarantee of accuracy of trust levels or GeoIP data.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoftRealms shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of NetSentry, including but not limited to:

• Loss of network connectivity
• Application malfunction due to blocked traffic
• Data loss
• System instability
• Security incidents
• Loss of revenue

8. Not a Security Product

NetSentry is not an antivirus, firewall replacement, or intrusion detection system. Trust levels assigned to applications are informational estimates only and should not be relied upon for security decisions.

NetSentry does not update automatically. Updates are available via manual download only. SoftRealms is under no obligation to provide updates, patches, or new versions.

11. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling NetSentry. Sections 6, 7, and 8 survive termination.

12. Modifications to Terms

SoftRealms may modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted at softrealms.com/netsentry/terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by applicable local laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SoftRealms regarding the use of NetSentry.
